Guitar Lessons
As a self-taught guitar player, John realized that there were many many things he wished he had known years earlier that would have helped him become an accomplished guitar player much much sooner.
To that end, John developed the “Adams Guitar Method”, a chord-shape based approach to learning the guitar, that focuses on songs, and simple music theory that helps the student understand how music works, so learning songs becomes a simple task.
Have you ever noticed how guitar players can get together and just play? The Adams Guitar Method was designed to help you become one of those players. No confusing scales and modes, no boring exercises, just learning to play music on the guitar always with a song in mind.

Songwriting 101
John Adams offers songwriting seminars that focus on a lyric-centered approach, giving students practical tools to craft meaningful songs even when inspiration feels miles away. Rather than waiting for the perfect idea or mood, John teaches a flexible framework built around observation, structure, and intentional creativity. Participants learn how to shape raw thoughts into clear lyrical ideas, develop strong narrative voices, and use rhythm, phrasing, and imagery to turn ordinary moments into compelling lines.
These workshops emphasize craft over mystique. John breaks down the songwriting process into approachable steps, helping students generate material through prompts, guided exercises, and simple techniques that bypass creative blocks. By the end of the seminar, students walk away with a repeatable process they can rely on anytime—proof that great songs don’t depend on lightning-bolt inspiration, but on skill, curiosity, and a willingness to show up to the page.

John’s songwriting exercises helped me break out of my self-imposed ruts and inspired me to veer off in different creating directions that I otherwise would not have taken. THANK YOU!!!!
